Tala (Tatjana Saphira) lives with her mother (Dewi Irawan) and uncle Toni (Edward Akbar), in Hong Kong. Her mother, a former migrant worker, is seriously ill and needs treatment. They can not go home because their passports’ problem. Tala, following uncle Toni who used to gamble and get drunk, finally becomes a street pickpocket.
Someday Tala pilfers the wallet and passport belonging to Musa (Al Ghazali), the son of Surya Djatmoko (Ray Sahetapy), who intends to expand his financial business in Hong Kong.
This is the beginning of Tala and Musa’s meeting. For Musa, Tala is the answer to all boredom and anger at his father. Instead, Tala sees Musa as a way out of her all difficulties of life in this foreign land. Even if love flourish in their heart, but they do not see any future for their relationship. They come from two different worlds. They do not know where to run.
